#2) How to go to Academia Sinica:

There are several ways to go to Academia Sinica from the Taoyuan International Airport:

1)    By Taxi (about 1 hour):

There are taxi stations outside the Arrival Halls of both Terminal I and Terminal II of Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Airport taxis charge according to the meter plus a 50% surcharge (highway tolls not included). In general, the taxi fare from the airport to Academia Sinica is around $ 1,700 NTD.

2)    By Bus (about 2 hours):

1. There are ticket counters located in the Arrival Halls of both Terminals.
   Terminal I Bus Platform: On the southwest side of the Arrival Passenger Reception Area.
   Terminal II Bus Platform: On the northeast side of the Arrival Passenger Reception Area on the first floor of the terminal.

2. Adult single fares vary from $ 110 to $140 NTD.

3. The journey time is about 1 hour in moderate traffic.

4. Four bus companies now provide frequent services between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and downtown Taipei:
   Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport: buses

• Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport - Kuokuang Line
  1819 to Taipei Main Station: take MRT "Blue Line" (Bannan Line) and get off at the terminal stop "Nankang Exhibition Center Station". Walk out the station  and take a taxi to Academia Sinica for about $120 NTD

• 1843 to Nangang Exhibition Center: take a taxi to Academia Sinica for about $120 NTD

• CitiAir Bus
  1960 East Bus to MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station and Taipei City Hall Bus Station: take a taxi from there to Academia Sinica for around $220 NTD.

3) By Taoyuan Airport Metro (about 2 hours):

You can take the metro at the Airport Terminal I or Terminal II Station and get off at MRT ‘Taipei Main Station’, then take another MRT "Blue Line" (Bannan Line) and get off at the terminal stop "Nankang Exhibition Center Station". Walk out the station and take a taxi to Academia Sinica for about $120 NTD.

4)   By Taoyuan Airport Metro and High-Speed Railway (HSR) (about 1.5 hours):

You can take the metro at the Airport Terminal I or Terminal II Station and get off at station “Taoyuan HSR Station”. From the Taoyuan HSR station, take the High Speed Railway (HSR) to ‘Nangang Station’. From Nangang Station, take a taxi to Academia Sinica for about $200 NTD.
